Use this guide to triage basic reference questions asked through the library's chat service.

Locating E-Books Using HillSearch

If a student is looking for books rather than articles, direct them to the HillSearch link, which is under Useful Resources on the Library's homepage.

Once they have entered their query in HillSearch, direct them to Format, which is on the left side navigation menu.  Check the box for ebooks.

Click on the "Access online book (DDA)" link to be taken to the e-book.  Once there, they can read the book online.  If they wish to download chapters, highlight passages, or save their books to a virtual bookshelf , they will need to create a free account with ProQuest.
