Information literacy instruction is best incorporated into the curriculum through a collaborative effort between faculty members and librarians. We created a program that provides a pedalogical framework for those efforts, affords librarians and faculty members the time they need to imagine and create their partnerships, and offers faculty members incentives for their participation.
The Faculty Librarian Parntership Program (FLPP), now in it's second year, is a true partership between Stonehill College's Center for Teaching and learning and MacPhaidin Library. CTL and library staff worked cooperatively on the planning, financing and execution of the partnerships. Feedback from faculty members has been universally positive. Students have also given the programs favorable reviews and provided us with valuable suggestions as to how we can improve FLPP.
