Library Access During COVID-19

Accessing Subject and Course Guides

Librarians have created a variety of subject and course LibGuides to assist you in your research. If you haven't used LibGuides before, here is what you will find:

Subject Guides - These guides provide a variety of resources on a given discipline. While the content of the guides will differ, their structure and the types of materials are consistent on each subject guide.  You will find the following sections:

  • Reference Sources - A list of reference works on a particular discipline. While the majority of these works are in print format, there are some that are available electronically.
  • Finding Books and Videos - This section provides you access to HillSearch, the library's catalog. In addition to the books we have physically in the library, HillSearch also provides you access to a wealth of materials we have available electronically including eBooks, government documents, and streaming videos.
Finding Articles - In this section you will find a list of links to databases that are most helpful for a particular discipline.
  • Citing Your Research - Here we have included information on citing resources using the citation style of the discipline.

Class Guides - Class guides are created for specific courses at the request of your professor. If you're uncertain whether you have a class guide, look under the particular subject on the LibGuides Home Page.
