There are many options for selecting course materials in addition to traditionally published textbooks. Many of these materials are free or at a low cost to students.
Tens of thousands of freely available open education resources (OER) and open textbooks are available. While it can be overwhelming to make sense of all the options and successfully find open content appropriate for your course needs, the benefits to the students can be well worth the effort.
This page explains several popular tools to locate open textbooks and resources. Faculty that want help discovering and implementing open content can contact the library at librarydeskgroup@stonehill.edu.We are delighted to help!
