Welcome to the Podcasting Studio!
Located in MacPháidín Library Room 112, the podcasting studio is available for Stonehill students, faculty, and staff. The studio has an easy to use RØDECaster Pro to record up to 4 people, a Mackie ProFX8v2 8-channel Mixer with USB and Effects, and a Mac equipped with audio editing software.
If you're interested, you can:
A. Schedule a recording time with a student audio engineer (Recommended for Beginners)
B. Schedule to use the studio on your own
To learn more about the studio and how to prepare for your recording, visit this link.
If you would like like to learn more about the lab or learn about how to incorporate digital media in your curricula, please reach out to the Digital Scholarship Librarian, Garrett McComas at gmccomas@stonehill.edu.
Before using the podcasting studio, we suggest that you book a 30 minute session with one of our Digital Fellows. Our Digital Fellows will give you a rundown of the equipment and software we have available and how to use them. They can also help with recording and editing your podcast and/or audio, and will help ensure a quality recording. After booking, please meet with the fellow at the Digital Lab, Room 107.
If you have previously received training from a Digital Fellow or are already familiar with how to record and edit audio, you can book the podcasting room at any time the library is open. After you have booked the room, go to The Desk near the entrance of the library to receive the Podcasting Studio key.
